Turnberry has taken the responsibility of breeding German Shepherd Dogs very seriously. In the last 25 years we have imported many dogs, always with the intention of trying to improve the Breed in  Australia.  

We consider to this end, our endeavours have been very successful.    As Breeders, continuing to improve Breed Type and Temperament has always been our main objective. 

We believe that we are the only Breeders and Exhibitors to have bred, owned and trained 3 individual National Gold Medal winners over 3 consecutive years. 

In addition to this, we have also bred and owned Siegerin and Australian Ch Turnberry Honda, numerous Australian VA's (Excellent Select) and our Gold Medal winning dog, Turnberry Stands Alone,  who in turn, produced a Gold Medal winning son!

Our imported VA Jeck v Noricum son, VA (Excellent Select) Bedwins Siegaro (imp UK) produced the 1999 Gold Medal winning bitch Ch Turnberry Smarty Pants as well as the 2001 Gold Medal winning bitch. Our stock has produced numerous National Class winners.

John has trained to CDx qualifying as an Obedience Instructor through the GSDL in 1963 following this with his Breed Specialist Judge's Licence in 1987, he has many worldwide appointments to his credit.
